Prominent Bisexual Characters in MCU and DCEU in 2017.
(hopefully to be canonically seen as such on screen asap)

Whoa wait Loki is canonically bisexual? That’s cool!

Writer of Agent of Asgard comics said openly that Loki is bisexual (“Yes, he is bi”) and Tom Hiddleston was also asked about Loki’s bisexuality (he thinks it’s great). He’s also genderfluid. (Odin: “my son who is both”).

That is extremely cool

Being
injured for life, having painful scar tissue all over my muscles, has
honestly helped me view permanent emotional scars differently too. Stuff
like grief, PTSD… the “time heals all wounds” rhetoric people give
when you’ve suffered a loss or a tragedy or trauma. It’s not true. The
wounds scar over, sometimes you get lucky and the pain is manageable and
for the most part you can eventually live your life day to day as if it
isn’t there and it only flares up when things are bad, but sometimes
you WILL feel that pain every day… for life. Humans hate the idea of
permanent pain, we’re terrified of it. And I get it. Even having done
this dance for over a decade now I still get twinges of “oh god, this is
how this will be for the rest of my time alive?” and for a moment I
just can’t handle it. But those moments pass and for the most part I’m
getting more comfortable with this horrifying prospect of “forever
pain”. It’s just there. And living around it… it sounds daunting, and
it IS truly daunting in a lot of ways, but when you have it you just…
find ways to live with it.

Pain and grief have no time limit. Don’t let people rush your pain. It’s not theirs, it’s yours.

My partner was diagnosed with CRPS a few months ago and I know I’m still in the shocked phase of, Oh god this is forever, like really forever? I break down crying at random moments and move between anger, hopelessness, numbness, sadness.

There is a long way to go… Reading this helped a bit for today. Thank you.

What the gifs don’t convey is the soundtrack: the opening to Guns N Roses “Welcome to the Jungle.” Perf.

This movie was so fucking underrated. I blame the marketing. They tried to sell it as a face-off between Will Ferrell’s character and Brad Pitt’s, all because they didn’t want to spoil the twist: that Metro Man dies 10 minutes in. But it’s not that much of a twist, because the entire story is about what happens if the villain actually wins, and what makes a villain in the first place. I think it also got buried by Despicable Me, which came out at the same time, but this is infinitely superior.

Seriously, if you’ve never seen Megamind, go watch it right now.

I was watching Vol 2 today and a bit that’s always kind of nagged me finally clicked.

When Rocket describes Ego as a little guy and holds up his fingers as about an inch, and then clarifies that he’s sure he would be much larger if he got closer…

This is actually a measured phenomenon.  During early development, human brains learn how to interpret the world around them through a variety of different physical and chemical stimuli.  Eyesight, for example, is cells in the backs of our eyes being stimulated by different wavelengths, and our brain putting that together to “see” the world based on those stimuli.  While growing, creatures learn how sizes relate to distance, they even learn how to expect to see the world around them.  Illusions that rely on corners to create the illusion don’t work the same in people who grow up in a culture that uses round houses. Learning how the size of something relates to the distance of that object is one of those things.

There is a case study taught in introduction to sensation and perception psychology classes, where a man studied a remote forest-dwelling tribe.  He took a member of that tribe out of the forest and at one point, they came across a large field with a herd of buffalo in the distance, and the researcher pointed them out as an animal that people hunt.  The man looked, and then asked why, because they were only the size of ants.  Over time, the man was able to learn how distance perception worked.

So I realized.

Rocket had to teach himself size perception as it relates to distance because he spent his formative years in cages and laboratory rooms.  He had to fucking teach himself VISUAL PERCEPTION and has to do the manual calculations in his head of how big something is based on how far away he guesses it is, and vice versa, calculating distance based on size.

We get a glimpse into that manual conversion when he’s explaining it out loud.  He might not realize how automatic it is for other people, or maybe he just trusts his family to understand, I’m not sure.  But it gets thrown back in his face, and the wall goes right back up.

Fandom: we have a mission. If you find any clues, for God’s sake, share!

One thing that’s always bugged me a bit is that Yondu pulls out “I know them scientists what made you” like he’s known it for a long time. As far as I can tell, the movies show all the known interactions between these two, and they don’t talk about it.  The best explanation I was able to get for myself was that surely there are public records and Yondu looked up Peter’s new crew to make sure he was cool with them being with his kid, and saw about the same as what is discussed in Vol 1.  Not sure if that goes anywhere.

Other question: Does this version of Rocket know who created him?

Side thought: I don’t believe we’ve fully answered the question of what planet Rocket’s body came from (Drax’s line about eating that animal on his planet, this version of Drax appearing to not come from Erath).

I WILL BE CENSORED AFTER DEC 14TH

Good, I’ve got your attention. I’ve heard about this net neutrality bullshit returning. I fought it when it started popping up a few years ago, and I’m going to fight it again. Guys, it’s BACK AGAIN and even worse theres a big chance it will END UP PASSING!

https://www.battleforthenet.com/#bftn-action-form

This could literally mean a shit ton of you wont be able to see me anymore if your provider decides that they want to regulate/censor, sayyy overly sexual content. You’ll also have to pay extra money to even use Tumblr!

https://www.battleforthenet.com/#bftn-action-form

Please guys, we defeated this shit once, we can do it again. They’re trying to do it now while people are distracted by the holidays and fucking Justice League. As of today, it seems as though there have only been 266,810 calls made to Congress. This is NOT good enough!! MILLIONS of people use the net, and if each one of them took 60 seconds to call and protect it, holy balls do you KNOW how much of a difference that would make??? But noooo, you’re busy streaming an ecchi anime that wont be available to you soon!!!!!

Heres a direct link to make a difference (theres also links to other sites of the same nature on here), and yes, YOU can make a fucking difference because this is YOUR internet at stake hereIf you’re not going to make the call, share this and maybe SOMEONE fucking will!! This is important as shit and we cant afford to lose. Dec 14th is the deadline.

https://www.battleforthenet.com/#bftn-action-form

I know this doesn’t sound important but….

The reason they started this again is because… the timing.

Coincidence? I think NOT.

Everyone is so obsessed with something else, The FCC are manipulating us.

I seriously don’t want to give up Tumblr and YouTube all together because of this crap..

😥

They’re deleting it every 20 hours too, don’t stop rebloging this!
