The funny thing about this is that in 50 years a lot of millennials will be dead because we’re spending right now choosing between food and healthcare.
Reblog/Like if you think Fanfiction writers deserve just as much credit as Fandom Artists.
i argued with a friend who said that fanfiction is nothing compared the artworks that come out of the fandoms but hey. Writing fanfiction isn’t always easy, we deserve just as much recognition.

GotG Vol. 2 Spoilers
Ego’s line “I’ve made millions of mistakes, but you are not one of them” is him talking about his millions of children
Also, the reason Mantis almost told Drax about Ego on the steps is because she felt his love for his daughter and realized how Ego felt about his kids, which she’s felt because she’s touched him before, isn’t how you’re supposed to feel at all
Also also, Yondu totally broke the space suit so Peter couldn’t take it off. He saw what he did for Gamora, so he’d know Peter would try to do the same for him and he wasn’t having it
Also also also, in the flashback of Yondu teaching Peter to shoot he’s whistling, so it’s possible he’s using the arrow as a target
Also also also also, when Gamora is chaining up Nebula you can see a bed under the cassette player, which is obviously Peter’s, but there’s also a bed across from his with tech scattered over it so it’s totally Rocket’s bed and they basically share a room
Also also also also also, Rocket sang quite a few of the words to Southern Nights so he absolutely loves the music and knows the words. Not that he’ll ever admit it
I have a lot of feelings about this movie…
If you listen to Rocket’s singing of Southern Nights (and nothing else, gdi) he laughs and says “I love this song.”
Please help me not hate Yondu
(There are GotG2 spoilers all over the place in this post, beware.)
I’m serious. I see everyone loving him and I want to do the same. I think he treated Peter very well and, given the hand he was dealt, I am SO impressed with what he accomplished! (Even if he made mistakes.)
BUT!!
They way he leads his crew in the first movie (”Is that what she’s filling your head with, boy? SENTIMENT?!”) is horrible. His crew turns against him because nobody, not even their captain, is allowed to feel FEELINGS, including mercy, compassion, and love.
(Even more GotG2 spoilers, ahead)
Thing that just occurred to me:
Peter, from the beginning, had no problem at all when it came to dealing with Rocket.
Rocket tries to kidnap and sell him? Pffft, yeah, that’s in the past, now they are working together to break out again.
Rocket yells and threatens and curses at him the whole time? Peter doesn’t bat an eyelash and just shoots back in much the same manner, or calms the other down with a few pointed words.
And why?
Because Rocket is extremely similar to Yondu.
Peter could easily deal with and see through Rocket’s behavior because he had dealt 26 years with Yondu.
He’s used to it.
Reblog if you write fic and people can inbox you random-ass questions about your stories, itemized number lists be damned.
Always
When writing fanfiction leads you to research whether there exists a product that would be applied to tree bark as some kind of salve for sunscald or other injury that would be safe to use as lube.
Coconut oil is probably your best bet for minor wounds and lube safety. Honey is good for minor wound care but obviously not a good lube.
…. What did your research turn up?
It turned up that there really isn’t anything specific, salve-wise, for treating tree bark :c Their own bark is the best treatment for surface wounds if the bark is still available, followed by cleaning a wound, cutting away any jagged edges and letting it dry out. So I get to make up whateverthefuck I want a space raccoon to carry around that could theoretically be for the purpose of treating tree back to then be repurposed. XD

A few little things I appreciate about GotG vol. 2:
The
facial acting by Sean Gunn. My god that man and his acting chops.
There’s a very quick, easily-missed moment when he asks Nebula if she
thinks the Kree will execute Yondu. She answers, and his face just
contorts in pain as they round the corner and she can’t see it before he
brings himself back under control and it’s absolutely gorgeous.
I’m
not sure how much of Sean’s expressions were captured with the motion reference, but Rocket also has a few great expressions, so props to either him or the animators or both for these. There are two
times when he thinks he’s about to die and he’s not putting up a brave
front (when the Sovereign surround then and he looks to Peter and when
Yondu starts the fire that will destroy the Ravager ship and he’s
looking at the screens) and the contrast between his expressions in
those moments and when he’s putting on a front for Taserface is just
lovely.
